Internal Revenue Service today warned taxpayers to be alert to tax time phone scams where aggressive criminals pose as IRS agents in hopes of stealing money or personal information. Remember IRS will never call to demand immediate payment, or threaten to immediately bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have the taxpayer arrested for not paying. Keeping digital information safe is a key point as well.
